San Francisco Mining Exchange Building
Historically known as the San Francisco Mining Exchange Building, the building is a city landmark designed by the noted architecture firm of Miller and Pflueger. The proposed project includes the exterior and interior rehabilitation of the building and the addition of a new office tower. Page & Turnbull restored the exterior terra cotta cladding and the original double-height steel windows as well as the previously removed acroteria and cresting. We led the reconstruction effort of the ceiling at the Entry Lobby as well as the decorative ceiling and walls of the Exchange Hall. An interpretive display featuring artifacts is dedicated to the history, present, and future of the building.
